Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) had scheduled a public hearing of Application No. 1299749 at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, 1307 2nd Street West, Brooks, Alberta on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. The Board received a request from interested parties to reschedule the hearing and it agreed to grant the request.

Therefore Take Notice that the EUB will hold a public hearing of Application No. 1299749 at the Ramada Hotel & Suites, 2375 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta commencing on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of Application No. 1299749

NAL Resources Limited (NAL) submitted an application in accordance with Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for a permit to construct and operate two 88.9mm salt water pipelines totalling 0.80 km in length. The purpose is to transport produced water from an injection satellite pump at 6-32-14-18 W4M to injection wells located at 2-32-14-18W4M (2-32 well) and 7-32-14-18W4

(7-32 well). Specifically, the pipeline to the 2-32 well would replace a corroded pipeline and the pipeline to the 7-32 well is required as the 7-32 well is a newly converted injector.

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:

(i)      the desired disposition of the application;

(ii)      the facts substantiating the position of the submitter;

(iii)             the reasons why the submitter believes the EUB should decide in the manner advocated; and

(iv)            how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.

Note: Any submissions filed regarding this application become public record, which is accessible to members of the general public.

If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB, but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
