Revised Draft Directive 010: Minimum Casing Design Requirements Available on EUB Web Site for Stakeholder Comment
The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) is soliciting feedback on its revised draft Directive 010: Minimum Casing Design Requirements (formerly Guide 10). The EUB had previously invited its stakeholders to review the original draft directive, as discussed in Bulletin 2004-27. As a result of the review of comments and questions provided, changes were made to the original draft. The EUB is now posting this revised draft on the Web for a three-month period for further stakeholder review.
The draft is available on the EUB Web site www.ercb.ca under Rules, Regulations, and Requirements : Directives.
The intent of the proposed revisions is to
- clarify existing requirements set out in the previous version of Guide 10,
- include requirements not in the previous version of Guide 10 but that have become the industry standard, and
- provide the optional use of an alternative design method for casing strings.
Please provide your comments by October 26, 2007, to
