• set out requirements for setting surface casing and for using a Class I blowout prevention system, and
• define standards for conductor casing.

Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on the revised surface casing depth requirements by filling out the Comment Form available on the Directive 008 Web page and submitting it to the ERCB by May 8, 2009. Comments and questions may be forwarded to the ERCB by e-mail to ERCB.WellOperations@ercb.ca or by regular mail to Energy Resources Conservation Board, Compliance, Environment, and Operations Branch, 640 – 5 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta  T2P 3G4, Attention: Well Operations.
