EPAP-related Announcements
August 9 EPAP Information Session: “Implementing EPAP - What To Do”.
Please note: The ERCB Production Audit Team (PAT) will be providing a series of information sessions related to the Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP). These sessions are intended to educate industry personnel on the various aspects of EPAP.
Session structure:
Each session will be a half-day in duration and will be dedicated to one EPAP subject. The PAT will first provide a brief presentation related to the subject of the day, with the remainder of the session being dedicated to an "operator-driven" question and answer period. The PAT will solicit and field questions, engage in discussion, provide insights, and generally help attendees gain a better understanding of the day's subject matter.
Session schedule and topics:
- Monday, August 9, 9 am to noon: “Implementing EPAP - What To Do”
- Second Monday of each calendar month thereafter: topics will be decided based on industry demand/feedback.
Session location:
The sessions will be held in the ERCB Building at 640 5th Avenue SW, in Govier Hall (room 237).

Please note that space for the sessions is limited to approximately 75 individuals at a time; therefore, a maximum of 2 attendees per company please. Names of attendees and the companies represented are to be forwarded to epap@ercb.ca. Attendants will be confirmed late in the week prior to each session, and if a limit has been reached, an update will be posted. If interest and demand dictates, additional sessions on each topic will be scheduled.
July 23, 2010 - EPAP Information Session Presentations
The Production Audit Team (PAT) thanks all operators that have attended the EPAP Information Sessions offered to date in 2010, and recommends Industry attendance at these sessions. The PowerPoint Presentations used in the Information Sessions have been posted under the "Reference and Resources" section of the EPAP Web site.
June 28, 2010: Providing of Company Specific Information
One of the Production Audit Team’s (PAT) business processes dictates that particulars pertaining to a specific company, including the name of the PAT representative, will only be provided to persons identified on the EPAP System as Authorized Contacts for the company. Therefore, for any others who contact us, we are only able to provide general information regarding EPAP that can be found on the EPAP Section of the ERCB website.
In order for the PAT to better assist company personnel and take action on any requests, please first ensure your name appears on the Authorized Contacts list. Once this designation has been provided, the appropriate PAT member(s) will then be authorized to assist you in any way that they can.
If assistance gaining access to DDS and assigning roles is required, please see the DDS Guide, or contact the DDS Administrator.
June 28, 2010: Declaration Month Selection
Operators do NOT have the ability to input the selected Declaration Month into the EPAP System. Please contact your Production Audit Team (PAT) member to have this information entered on your behalf.
May 13, 2010: EPAP System is available to industry
Please note: As at close of business Wednesday, May 12, the EPAP System is available for industry access and use. The Production Audit Team (PAT) thanks industry personnel for their patience during the recent outage, and encourages industry personnel to continue accessing and using the EPAP System.
May 7, 2010: EPAP System down for maintenance
Please note: As at close of business May 6, 2010, the EPAP System is down for maintenance. During this outage, industry personnel will be unable to see the link to the system through Data Submission and Reporting (DDS). An update to this message will be posted as soon as the system is back up. The Production Audit Team thanks industry personnel for their patience.
April 15, 2010: In-person meetings with Operators
The Production Audit Team (PAT) thanks all operators who have requested an in-person meeting regarding EPAP. Due to the number of requests and time constraints on the PAT during the implementation of EPAP, PAT staff are unavailable to meet personally with operators now. However, each operator’s assigned PAT member is available via telephone or e-mail to answer any questions and to review and provide comments on the operator’s documentation, implementation plans, etc.
If operators still feel in-person meetings are necessary, the PAT will consider holding a multi-operator briefing to address further questions.

April 7, 2010: Notice regarding upcoming Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement
The 2010 Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement (CSHM) is being held on April 20 and 21, 2010. This year, the CSHM will be offering
- an Introduction to EPAP presentation on day 1, as part of the Production Accounting and Regulatory Compliance stream, and
- a set of presentations on EPAP on day 2.
Operators are encouraged to learn more about the CSHM and EPAP-learning opportunities at http://www.cshm.ca/.
