ALBERTA FUEL GAS EFFICIENCY IN THE UPSTREAM GAS AND CONVENTIONAL OIL INDUSTRY—2008 DATA

This is the first report on fuel gas use in the upstream sector. It covers oil and gas batteries, gas gathering systems, and gas plants. It does not include straddle plants, injection facilities, and oil sands operations (in situ, mining, and upgrading).

The report contains

• trend information on fuel gas use and production for gas and oil batteries, gas gathering systems and gas processing plants, and
• results from an industry survey of the top 15 fuel users on fuel gas usage. It includes a summary of investment and savings, decision criteria, motivators, challenges, and successes.
