UNDER BITUMEN CONSERVATION REQUIREMENTS
ATHABASCA WABISKAW-MCMURRAY

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB/Board) will hold a public hearing in Calgary, Alberta, commencing Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. The Board will forward a notice indicating the venue for the hearing to each party that is registered in this proceeding.

Nature of Proceeding No. 1347905

The hearing is for the purpose of considering submissions respecting the production of gas in oil sands areas as discussed in EUB General Bulletin (GB) 2003-28: Bitumen Conservation Requirements, Athabasca Wabiskaw-McMurray. On September 15, 2004 the Board held a pre-hearing meeting regarding the Phase 3 final hearing under the Bitumen Conservation Requirements. On October 14, 2004, the Board issued Decision 2004-088, which required each party that wished to have the production status of particular intervals considered at the hearing to file a declaration identifying those intervals, together with a submission containing the evidence supporting its declaration, by February 14, 2005. This hearing will consider the production status of the intervals identified in the February 14, 2005 submissions. The records from the Phase 3 interim hearings held by the Board in March and June, 2004, will form part of the record of this proceeding. Parties are not required to re-file submissions or restate evidence or argument placed on the record in those interim hearings.
