Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) had scheduled a public hearing of Applications No. 1392129, 1392133, 1392135, 1392138, 1392145, 1392147, 1392149, 1392156, 1392157, 1392160, 1392167, 1392175, 1392180, 1392183, 1392185, 1392189, 1392190, 1392192, 1392193, 1392195, 1410231, 1392206, 1392207, 1392208, 1392209, 1392210, 1392211, 1392214, and 1392426 at the Brooks Heritage Inn and Convention Center, 1303 – 2 Avenue East, Brooks, Alberta, commencing on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the hour of 1:30 p.m. The Board received a request from interested parties to reschedule the hearing and correspondence from the Imperial Oil Resources Limited (Imperial) regarding the rescheduling request and has agreed to grant the request.

Therefore, Take Notice that the EUB will hold a public hearing of Applications No. 1392129, 1392133, 1392135, 1392138, 1392145, 1392147, 1392149, 1392156, 1392157, 1392160, 1392167, 1392175, 1392180, 1392183, 1392185, 1392189, 1392190, 1392192, 1392193, 1392195, 1410231, 1392206, 1392207, 1392208, 1392209, 1392210, 1392211, 1392214, and 1392426 at the Brooks Heritage Inn and Convention Center, 1303 – 2 Avenue East, Brooks, Alberta, commencing on Tuesday, Alberta, commencing on March 2, 2006, at the hour of 1:30 p.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application
Imperial has applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulation, for authorization to drill 28 wells to produce natural gas from the Milk River, Medicine Hat, and Second White Speckled formations. The gas produced is expected to contain 0.00 mol/kmol (0 per cent) hydrogen sulphide (H2S) content.

Imperial has also applied pursuant to part 4 of the Pipeline Act to construct and operate 28 pipeline segments to tie in the above noted wells into existing infrastructure. The pipeline segments all have either an outside diameter of 73.0 mm or 88.9 mm and vary in length from 0.08 kilometre (km) to 0.58 km.

The project area is located approximately 2 km east of the Hamlet of Patricia. The project area is within Townships 19 and 20, Range 12, West of the 4th Meridian.

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain the following:

(a) a concise statement indicating

(i) the manner in which the intervener's rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,

(ii) the nature and scope of the intervener's intended participation,

(iii) the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,

(iv) the facts the intervener proposes to show in evidence,

(v) the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and

(vi) the intervener's efforts, if any, to resolve issues associated with the proceeding directly with the applicant;

    1. the name, address in Alberta, telephone number, fax number and, if available, e-mail address of the intervener;

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.

Note: In accordance with Section 12 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all documents filed in respect of this proceeding must be placed on the public record unless otherwise ordered by the Board.
