AMENDED NOTICE OF HEARING
APPLICATION NO. 1085114

LLOYDMINSTER FIELD

CANADIAN NATURAL RESOURCES LIMITED

The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) scheduled a public hearing of Application No. 1085114 to commence on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at the Best Western Wayside Inn, 5411 44th Street, Lloydminster, Alberta.

Take Notice that the oral hearing of Application No. 1085114 is cancelled and the EUB will conduct a written hearing to consider the application.

Nature of the Application

Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) applied pursuant to section 5.190 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations and section 79(4) of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act to establish holdings in the northeast and southwest quarters of Section 8 of Township 51, Range 1, West of the 4th Meridian (Section 8-51-1 W4M), Section 16-51-1 W4M, and the north half and southwest quarter of Section 17-51-1 W4M, for the production of oil from the Mannville Group. The proposed holdings would have a 100 meter (m) interwell distance, a 50 m buffer zone and a well density of one well per pool per legal subdivision for the northeast and southwest quarters of Section 8-51-1 W4M and the north half and southwest quarter of Section 17-51-1 W4M, and two wells per pool per legal subdivision for Section 16-51-1 W4M.

The EUB intends to deal with the application in a written proceeding according to the following schedule:

August 26, 2003

Final date for submissions to be filed with the EUB by any persons having concerns respecting the application.

 

September 3, 2003

Final date for any response by CNRL to the submissions filed by concerned parties.

 

September 10, 2003

Final date for argument from all parties (if necessary).

 

September 17, 2003

Final date for reply to argument from CNRL (if necessary).

 

Any person intending to make a submission with respect to the hearing of this application shall send two copies of the submission to the applicant at the name and address above, and twelve copies to:

Notes

Any submission raising a concern respecting the application shall contain information detailing:

(i)                 the desired disposition of the application,

(ii)               the facts sustaining the position of the submitter,

(iii)              the reason why the submitter believes the EUB should decide in the manner advocated, and

(iv)             how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB, but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
