NOTICE OF RESCHEDULING OF HEARING

SHAKER RESOURCES INC.
The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) scheduled a public hearing of Application No. 1318645 to commence on Tuesday, July 13, 2004. The EUB received a request to reschedule the hearing and has granted that request.
Take Notice that the EUB will hold a public hearing of Application No. 1318645 at the offices of the EUB, 640 – 5 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta, commencing on Tuesday, August 31, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of the Application
Shaker Resources Inc. applied
- under section 48(1) of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act (the Act) for an order declaring Sawtooth International Resources Inc., Signalta Resources Limited, Northrock Resources Limited, and Boom Investments Limited, as common carriers of gas from the Redwater Upper Mannville U Pool (the U Pool) and from an undefined Sparky pool, through pipelines extending from a tie in point at Legal Subdivision 16 of Section 3, Township 55, Range 21 West of the 4th Meridian (Lsd 16-3-55-21 W4M) (the 16-3 tie in) to a delivery point located in Lsd 7-26-54-22 W4M;
- under section 48(4)(a) of the Act for the EUB to designate the 16-3 tie in location as the point at which the common carrier shall take delivery of the gas to be transported under the common carrier order;
- under section 48(4)(b) of the Act for the EUB to allocate the proportion of production to be take by the common carrier from the subject pools;
- under section 55(1) of the Act for the EUB to set the transportation fee to be paid by the applicant for the gas to be taken by the common carrier; and
- under section 56 of the Act for the above noted orders to be effective as of the date of the application, October 28, 2003.

The EUB has established the following filing deadlines for this hearing:
August 16, 2004 Final date for submissions by any parties having concerns respecting any of the applications.
August 23, 2004 Final date for any response from an applicant to the submissions filed by concerned parties.

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:
(i) the desired disposition of the application,
(ii) the facts substantiating the position of the submitter,
(iii) the reasons why the submitter believes that the EUB should decide in the manner advocated, and
(iv) how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.
In accordance with section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
If no valid objections are received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.
