AMENDED NOTICE OF HEARING
APPLICATIONS NO. 1331326, 1331327, 1331970
CANADIAN NATURAL RESOURCES LIMITED
LLOYDMINSTER FIELD

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing of Applications No. 1331326, 1331327, and 1331970 at the Tropical Inn, 5621 - 44 Street, Lloydminster, Alberta, commencing on October 18, 2004, at the hour of 10:30 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application

Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) has applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations for a licence to drill three slant oil wells, two from a surface location at Legal Subdivision (LSD) 1 of Section 4, Township 52, Range 1, West of the 4th Meridian and one from LSD 1-10-52-1W4M. The projected bottomhole locations are in LSD 1-4, 2-4, and 8-10-52-1W4M respectively. The proposed wells would be located approximately 20 kilometres south of Lloydminster. The maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) concentration of all three wells would be 0.0 mol/kmol (0 per cent). The purpose of the wells would be to obtain oil production from the Sparky Member.

Notes

Any submission filed must contain information detailing

  1. the desired disposition of the application,

  2. the facts substantiating the position of the submitter,

  3. the reasons why the submitter believes the Board should decide in the manner advocated, and

  4. how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.

If you have an interest in this matter, you are required to make a submission with respect to this application even if you have previously filed a submission with the Board or with CNRL on this application.

If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
