Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (the Board/EUB) had scheduled a public hearing of these applications at the Beaupre Hall, Beaupre Creek Road #263035, Cochrane, Alberta, commencing on Tuesday, June 17, at 9:00 a.m. The Board received a request from the applicant to reschedule the hearing and is prepared to grant the request.  

Therefore, Take Notice that the public hearing of Applications No. 1286558 and 1301840 to commence on Tuesday, June 17, 2003, is going to be rescheduled to a date yet to be determined. Further notice will be given prior to the new hearing date. 

Nature of the Applications

Application No. 1286558 for a Well Licence

Olympia Energy Inc. (Olympia) applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations for a licence to drill a directional well from a surface location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 12, Section 2, Township 26, Range 6, West of the 5th Meridian (12-2-26-6 W5M) to a projected bottom hole in the same LSD. The purpose of the well would be to obtain sweet natural gas production from the Viking formation. The proposed well would be located on Stoney Indian Reserve land on the south side of Ghost Lake, approximately 2 kilometres (km) south of the Summer Village of Ghost Lake.  

Application No. 1301840 for approval to construct and operate a Sweet Natural Gas Pipeline

Olympia applied pursuant to Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for approval to construct and operate a sweet natural gas pipeline from 12-2-26-6 W5M to connect to an existing pipeline at 10-35-25-6 W5M. The proposed pipeline would have a total length of approximately 1.8 km. This application was submitted on May 15, 2003, in accordance with direction from the Board in the Notice of Hearing, published April 28, 2003.
