NOTICE OF HEARING

APPLICATION NO. 1345578 

ENCANA CORPORATION

WESTEROSE SOUTH FIELD

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB/Board) will hold a public hearing of Application No. 1345578 in the Main Hall of the Lakedell Agricultural Society, located south of Highway No. 13 on Lakedell Road, and south of the Village at Pigeon Lake, in the County of Wetaskiwin, Alberta. The hearing will commence on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application

EnCana Corporation (EnCana) has applied pursuant to Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for a licence to construct and operate a pipeline to transport natural gas containing 0.0 moles per kilomole (mol/kmol) or 0.0 per cent hydrogen sulphide (H2S) from a well located at LSD 02-33-45-2 W5M to tie-in to an existing pipeline located at LSD 06-28-45-2 W5M. The proposed pipeline would be approximately 1.4 kilometres (km) in length with a maximum outside diameter of 88.90 millimetres. The proposed pipeline would be located approximately 30 km north of the Town of Rimbey.

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain information detailing

i)  the desired disposition of the applications,

ii)  the facts substantiating the position of the submitter,

iii) the reasons why the submitter believes the Board should decide in the manner advocated, and

iv) how the applications, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.

If you have an interest in this matter, you are required to make a submission with respect to this application even if you have previously filed an objection with the Board or with EnCana on these applications.

If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB, but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
