Report 2004-A: Alberta Single-Well Gas Pool Drainage Area Study

This report documents the findings of a study initiated by the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board in 2002. It involved a review of the expected ultimate gas recovery for 7000 nonassociated single-well pools throughout the province to determine their drainage area. Based on this study, the EUB has revised the drainage area, assigned for the purpose of reserves evaluation of single-well pools, into four sizes (32, 64, 128, and 200 hectares) to specific formations throughout the province.
