NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF HEARING

The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) scheduled a public hearing of EnCana Corporation, Application No.1409772 at the Claresholm Community Centre, 5920 8 Street W., Claresholm, Alberta, commencing on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at the hour of 1:00 p.m. The EUB has been advised by the applicant that it is withdrawing the application.

EnCana Corporation had applied to drill a sweet gas well at a surface location of Legal Subdivision 10, Section 22, Township 12, Range 28, West of the 4th Meridian. The proposed well would have been located approximately 10 kilometres west of the Town of Claresholm.

Take Notice that the public hearing of Application No. 1409772 to commence on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 is hereby cancelled.
