APPLICATIONS FOR SOUR GAS WELLS, FACILITIES AND PIPELINES
WILDWOOD FIELD
The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) had scheduled a public hearing of Applications No. 1253701, 1253703 and 1261233 at the Evansburg Royal Canadian Legion Facility (downstairs banquet room) located at 4823-50th Street, Evansburg, Alberta, commencing at 9:00 am on Tuesday, October 8, 2002. The Board received a request from interested parties to reschedule the hearing and the Board decided to grant the request.
Therefore Take Notice that the EUB will hold a public hearing of Applications No. 1253701, 1253703 and 1261233, at the Evansburg Royal Canadian Legion Facility (downstairs banquet room) located at 4823-50th Street, Evansburg, Alberta, commencing at 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2002. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of the Applications
Applications No. 1253701 & 1253703
Elk Point Resources Inc. (Elk Point), applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations (OGCR) for licences to drill two sour gas wells in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 16 of Section 23, Township 54, Range 9, West of the 5th Meridian, and in LSD 10-25-54-9W5M respectively.
Application No. 1261233
Elk Point applied pursuant to Section 7.001 of the OGCR for sour gas batteries to be located in LSD 16-23-54-9W5M and LSD 10-25-54-9W5M. Each battery would consist of an emergency shutdown valve on the wellhead, a line heater, a separator, and a water storage tank. The flare system at each facility would only be used for emergency purposes and would be equipped with an automatic ignition system.
Elk Point applied to Pursuant Part 4 of the Pipeline Act, for a licence to construct and operate sour natural gas pipelines in the Wildwood field. The sour natural gas pipelines would transport sour natural gas from LSD 16-23-54-9W5M to LSD 16-26-54-9W5M, and from LSD 10-25-54-9W5M to and existing sour gas battery at 14-26-54-9W5M.

Any person intending to file a submission with respect to the hearing of Applications No.1253701, 1253703, and 1261233 shall file on or before 4:00 p.m. November 5, 2002. Send one copy of your submission to the applicant at the name and address above, and ten copies of the submission to the attention of:

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:
i) the desired disposition of the applications;
ii) the facts substantiating the position of the submitter;
iii) the reasons why the submitter believes the EUB should decide in the manner advocated; and,
iv) how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.
If you have an interest in this matter, you are required to make a submission with respect to this application even if you have previously filed a submission with the EUB or with Elk Point Resources Inc. on this application.
In accordance with section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the applications without further notice or without holding a public hearing.
Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB, but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
