The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB/Board) scheduled a hearing of Application No. 1337151 at the Calgary Board Offices, 640 5 Avenue SW, commencing on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. The EUB has rescheduled the hearing by moving the commencement date forward by one week.

Take Notice that the EUB will hold a hearing of Application No. 1337151 at the Birch Room (main floor) of the Hawthorn Hotel & Suites, 618 5 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta, commencing on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application

CCS Inc. (CCS) applied pursuant to Section 26(1) of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act for approval to dispose Class 1b fluids, comprised of wastewaters and produced waters from producers in the area and residual wastewater from the CCS West Edson Waste Management Facility, into the Elkton Formation through the 02/09-17-053-19 W5M well.

July 19, 2004 Final date for any response from the applicant to the submissions filed by concerned parties.

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:

(i) the desired disposition of the application,

(ii) the facts substantiating the position of the submitter,

(iii) the reasons why the submitter believes that the EUB should decide in the manner advocated, and

(iv) how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.

In accordance with section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with be the EUB, but may be referred to the Surface Rights Board.

If no submissions are received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.
