MUSKEG RIVER MINE EXPANSION PROJECT
ALBIAN SANDS ENERGY INC.

On July 17, 2006, the Joint Review Panel established by the Government of Canada and the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB/Board) issued a Notice of Hearing for the Muskeg River Mine Expansion project. Following issuance of that Notice, the Joint Panel received requests from provincial and federal authorities that intend to participate in the hearing to move the hearing for the weeks of September 11 and September 18, 2006, to a city outside of Fort McMurray. After consulting with the applicant and other interested parties, the Joint Panel decided to grant the requests.

Therefore, please note that the hearing for the Muskeg River Mine Expansion project will be held on the following dates at the locations listed below:

From September 5 to 8, 2006, and
if necessary, from September 25 to 29, 2006

Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre

Fort McMurray, Alberta
Time: 9:00 a.m.

From September 11 to 15, 2006, and
if necessary, from September 18 to 22, 2006

Nisku Inn and Conference Centre – Edmonton International Airport
1101 – 4 Street
Nisku, Alberta
Time: 9:00 a.m.

In all other respects any person intending to participate in the hearing of the Muskeg River Mine Expansion project must comply with the requirements set out in the Notice of Hearing issued on July 17, 2006.
