Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) has received Application No. 1506785. This notice is to advise of the filing of this application. Note that if no submissions are received on or before July 13, 2007 relating to the application, the EUB may continue to process this application without further notice.
Nature of the Application
Berkley Resources Inc. (Berkley) has applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations for a licence to drill a Level 2 critical sour well from a surface location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 12 of Section 9, Township 28, Range 1, West of the 5th Meridian to a projected bottomhole location in LSD 11-9-28-1W5M. The maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) concentration would be approximately 447.9 moles per kilomole (44.79 per cent) and the cumulative drilling H2S release rate would be 3.2698 cubic metres per second (m3/s) with an emergency planning zone of 7.7 kilometres. The purpose of the well would be to obtain gas production from the Crossfield formation. The proposed well would be located approximately 4.8 kilometres south and west of the Town of Crossfield.

Notes
