Take notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold an interim hearing of Applications No. 1095525, 1095526, 1095602, and 1275288 at The Metropolitan Conference Centre, Second Floor, Calgary Place Tower, 330 5th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta commencing on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the hour of 8:30 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application

Stylus Exploration Inc. (Stylus) has applied to produce gas from certain perforated intervals within the Wabiskaw Member of the Clearwater Formation and the McMurray Formation in the following wells in the Hardy Field:

Any person intending to make a submission with respect to the hearing of Applications No. 1095525, 1095526, 1095602, and 1275288 shall file on or before:

September 18, 2003 for submission(s) of those objecting to the Stylus applications and/or production of gas from the Devon and Talisman wells.

September 25, 2003 for submission(s) of the applicants and those supporting the Stylus applications and/or production of gas from the Devon and Talisman wells.

Send one copy of your submission, in writing, to the applicant at the name and address listed above and ten copies of the submission to:

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:

                      i)               the desired disposition of the application;

                     ii)               the facts substantiating the position of the submitter; and

                   iii)               the reasons why the submitter believes the EUB should decide in the manner advocated.

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
