Take Notice that examiners appointed by the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing of Application No. 1296133 at the Town of Rimbey Recreational Centre (Upper Auditorium), 5109 54 Street, Rimbey, Alberta on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of Application No. 1296133
ConocoPhillips Canada Resources Corp. (ConocoPhillips) submitted an application in accordance with Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for a licence to construct and operate a 5.56 km length of pipeline from a location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 6 of Section 22, Township 42, Range 2, West of the 5th Meridian to a pipeline tie-in in LSD 16-35-42-2 W5M. The purpose of the pipeline is to transport oil effluent with a maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) content of 50 moles per kilomole (5 percent). The oil effluent would be diverted from an existing pipeline, which CococoPhillips will abandon thereafter. The proposed pipeline would be located approximately 600 metres east of Rimbey's town limits.

The schedule for filing submissions is as follows:
1. Filing of submissions by intervener September 12, 2003
2. Filing of submissions by applicant September 26, 2003
3. Final submissions due October 10, 2003

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:
(i) the desired disposition of the application;
(ii) the facts substantiating the position of the submitter;
(iii) the reasons why the submitter believes the EUB should decide in the manner advocated; and
(iv) how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.
If you have an interest in this matter, you are required to make a submission with respect to this application even if you have previously filed a submission with the Board or with ConocoPhillips on this application. Note: Any submissions filed regarding this application become public record, which is accessible to members of the general public.
If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.
In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB, but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
