Nature of the Applications

EUB Application No. 1269934

Imperial Oil Resources Limited (Imperial) has applied pursuant to Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for approval to construct and operate approximately 8.03 kilometres (km) of pipeline with outside diameters (OD) of 219.1, 168.3, 273.1 and 406.4 millimetres (mm) to transport natural gas from nineteen existing wells in the Wizard Lake Field to the Crown C Battery at Legal Subdivision (LSD) 9, Section 16, Township 48, Range 27, West of the 4th Meridian. The pipeline system will have a maximum operating pressure of 9860 kilopascals (kPa) (1404 pounds per square inch (psi)) and contain a maximum hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) content of 2.5 mol/kmol (0.25 %). 

EUB Application No. 1269935

Imperial has applied pursuant to Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for approval to construct and operate approximately 11.8 km of a 406mm OD pipeline to transport natural gas from the Crown C Battery at LSD 9-16-48-27W4M to the Imperial Bonnie Glen Plant located at LSD 3-17-47-27W4M. The pipeline will have a maximum operating pressure of 9680 kPa (1404 psi) and contain a maximum H₂S content of 2.5 mol/kmol (0.25%). The pipeline will cross under Wizard Lake using a Horizontal Directional Drill to install the pipe below the lake bottom.
