AMENDED NOTICE OF HEARING

TALISMAN ENERGY INC.

SPECIAL GAS WELL SPACING

NORRIS FIELD

APPLICATION NO. 1279813

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing of the above application at the Metropolitan Centre, 333 4th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta, commencing on April 8, 2003, at 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application

Talisman Energy Inc. has applied under the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations and the Oil and Gas Conservation Act to establish a holding and special well spacing for the production of gas from the Mannville coals in Section 14, Township 53, Range 18, West of the 4th Meridian.

The applicant proposes that within the holding:

         a producing well shall be at least 200 metres (m) from each other well producing from the same pool,

         a producing well shall be at least 200 m from the boundary of the holding,

         only eight wells may be produced within the holding from the same pool.

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:

(i)                the desired disposition of the application,

(ii)               the facts substantiating the position of the submitter, and

(iii)             the reasons why the submitter believes that the EUB should decide in the manner advocated.

In accordance with section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
