NOTICE OF APPLICATION

KILLAM NORTH FIELD

BURLINGTON RESOURCES CANADA LTD.

Take notice that the Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) may continue to process this application without further notice if no valid objections are received on or before March 4, 2003.

Nature of the Application

Burlington Resources Canada Ltd. has applied pursuant to the Oil and Gas Conservation Act for an order prescribing that all tracts within the drilling spacing unit comprising Section 33 of Township 45, Range 13, West of the 4th Meridian, be operated as a unit for the production of gas from all zones to the base of the Mannville Group, through the well with the unique identifier of 00/07-33-045-13W4.

The applicant is requesting, among other things, that costs and revenues under the pooling order be allocated on a tract area basis, and that it be named the operator of the subject well. The applicant has not requested any penalty provision in the proposed order.
