Further Take Notice that pursuant to Section 73 of the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA), any person who is directly affected by Application No. 004-10448 may submit a written statement of concern regarding the application on or before May 31, 2004. Please note that failure to file a statement of concern may affect the right to file a Notice of Appeal with the Environmental Appeal Board. Please quote Application No. 004-10448 (EPEA) when submitting a statement of concern. If no statements of concern are received, the EPEA application may be approved without further notice. Nature of Applications No. 1340873 (EUB) and No. 004-10448 (Alberta Environment)
EPDC has filed these applications with the EUB and Alberta Environment requesting approval to construct and operate a new 4.8 MW generating plant. The plant would be located at the existing Cloverbar Landfill site in the Northeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 53, Range 23, West of the 4th Meridian, in northeast Edmonton. The proposed generating plant would consist of three Caterpillar generators that would produce electricity for sale into the Alberta Power Pool. The proposed generating plant would be fuelled by landfill gas that normally would be flared.
