NOTICE OF HEARING
APPLICATION NO. 1365573
ALTAGAS LTD. (ALTAGAS)
PRINCESS FIELD

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing of Application No.1365573 at The Heritage Inn, 1217 2nd Street W, Brooks, Alberta, commencing on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application

AltaGas submitted an application in accordance with Section 39, subsection (1)(b) of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations requesting approval to construct and operate a gas processing plant in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 16, Section 14, Township 20, Range 12,West of the 4th Meridian in the Princess Field. The proposed facility would be categorized as a C300 gas processing plant with a raw gas inlet of 566.3 103m3/d and a maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) concentration of 2.8 mol/kmol (0.28%). The plant would consist of an amine unit, refrigerated HC dewpoint control, one 1242 kilowatt (kW) compressor and one 164 kW compressor. Maximum continuous flaring would be 21.59 103m3/d with total sulphur emissions of 0.98t/d. The proposed plant would be located approximately 6 kilometres east of Patricia.

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain the following:

(a) a concise statement indicating

(i) the manner in which the intervener's rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,

(ii) the nature and scope of the intervener's intended participation,

(iii) the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,

(iv) the facts the intervener proposes to show in evidence,

(v) the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and

(vi) the intervener's efforts, if any, to resolve issues associated with the proceeding directly with the applicant;

If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation. In accordance with Section 12 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all documents filed in respect of this proceeding must be placed on the public record unless otherwise ordered by the Board.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
