NOTICE OF RESCHEDULING OF HEARING
APPLICATION NO. 1456992, 1456995, 1456998, 1457043, 1457059, 1457085, 1457096, AND 1460954

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) had scheduled a public hearing of 1456992, 1456995, 1456998, 1457043, 1457059, 1457085, 1457096, and 1460954 at the Bonnyville Lions Community Centre, 5106 50th Street, Bonnyville, Alberta, commencing on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. The Board received a request from an interested party to reschedule the hearing and it agreed to grant the request.
Therefore, Take Notice that the EUB will hold a public hearing of 1456992, 1456995, 1456998, 1457043, 1457059, 1457085, 1457096, and 1460954 at the Bonnyville Agriplex, 4313 - 50th Avenue, Bonnyville, Alberta, commencing on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of Applications No. 1457043, 1457059, 1457085 and 1457096
Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (CNRL) has applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations for licences to drill nineteen wells, one vertical and eighteen slant wells from four separate surface locations (two of the proposed surface locations exist already).The details of the applications are as follows:
Application No. 1457043 – Four slant wells proposed to be drilled from a common surface location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 10 of Section 10, Township 61, Range 5, West of the 4th Meridian to projected bottom hole locations in LSD 10-10-61-5 W4M, LSD 11-10-61-5 W4M and in LSD 15-10-61-5 W4M.
Application No. 1457059 – Three slant wells proposed to be drilled from an existing multiwell pad site located in LSD 16-10-61-5 W4M, to projected bottom hole locations in LSD 15-10-61-5 W4M, LSD 16-10-61-5 W4M and in LSD 1-15-61-5 W4M.
Application No. 1457085 - Six slant wells proposed to be drilled from an existing wellsite located in LSD 12-10-61-5 W4M, to projected bottom hole locations in LSD 9-9-61-5 W4M, LSD 16-9-61-5 W4M, LSD 11-10-61-5 W4M, LSD 12-10-61-5 W4M, LSD 13-10-61-5 W4M and in LSD 14-10-61-5 W4M.
Application No. 1457096 - One vertical well proposed to be located in LSD 11-10-61-5 W4M, and five slant wells proposed to be drilled from a common surface location in LSD 11-10-61-5 W4M to projected bottom hole locations in LSD 5-10-61-5 W4M and in LSD 6-10-61-5 W4M.
For all nineteen wells the maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) concentration would be approximately 0.00 moles per kilomole (0.00 per cent). The purpose of the wells would be to obtain crude bitumen production from the Mclaren Member. The proposed wells would be located approximately 5 kilometres southeast of Bonnyville.
Nature of Applications No. 1456992, 1456995, 1456998 and 1460954
CNRL has applied pursuant to Section 7.001 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations requesting approval to construct and operate three multi-well oil batteries, as well as to amend an existing multi-well oil battery in the Fort Kent Field. The details of the applications are as follows:
Application No. 1456992 – A multi-well oil battery proposed at surface location LSD 10-10-61-5 W4M. The equipment on site would consist of four 1000 bbl sales tanks.
Application No. 1456995 – A multi-well oil battery proposed at surface location LSD 11-10-61-5 W4M. The equipment on site would consist of six 1000 bbl sales tanks.
Application No. 1456998 – A multi-well oil battery proposed at surface location LSD 12-10-61-5 W4M. There are currently two 1000 bbl sales tanks located at this surface location for the existing well. The new equipment on site would consist of four 1000 bbl sales tanks, resulting in a total of six 1000 bbl sales tanks on the wellsite.
Application No. 1460954 – Amendment to an existing multiwell oil battery at surface location LSD 16-10-61-5 W4M. The existing equipment on this site consists of propane tanks, motor shacks and a fuel gas conditioner. The new equipment will consist of the addition of four new 1000 bbl sales tanks on this site.
The purpose of the facilities would be to store crude bitumen production from the proposed multi-well pad sites at the locations stated above. The proposed batteries would be located approximately 5 kilometres southeast of Bonnyville.
