Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing of Application No. 1346035 (formerly Application No. 1305730) at the Heritage Inn, 1104 - 11 Avenue SE, High River, Alberta, commencing on July 6, 2004, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of the Application
Compton Petroleum Corporation (Compton) has applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations for a licence to drill a Level-1 sour well from a surface location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 1 of Section 10, Township 19, Range 29, West of the 4th Meridian to a projected bottom hole location in LSD 4-11-19-29W4M. The maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) concentration would be approximately 9.9 moles per kilomole (0.99 per cent) and the cumulative drilling H2S release rate would be 0.02 cubic metres per second (m3/s) with a correspondence emergency planning zone of 0.21 kilometres. The purpose of the well would be to obtain gas production from the Basal Quartz Formation. The proposed well would be located approximately 2.0 kilometres west of High River.

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain information detailing:
- the desired disposition of the application;

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
