CORSAIR EXPLORATION INC.

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (Board) may continue to process the subject application without further notice if no valid submissions are received on or before September 3, 2002.

Nature of the Application

Corsair Exploration Inc. applied pursuant to Section 26 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act for approval to expand its scheme for the enhanced recovery of oil by water injection in part of the Willesden Green Cardium U Pool. The proposed expansion would encompass parts of Sections 25, 26, 34, 35 and 36 of Township 37, and Sections 2, 3 and 4 of Township 38, Range 6 West of the 5th Meridian and would involve six injection wells and nineteen producing wells. Initial water injection requirements would be between 100 and 140 cubic metres of water per day. The applicant proposes to obtain water for injection from the Devon Canada (formerly Anderson Exploration Ltd.) fresh water facility located at Legal Subdivision 4 of Section 21, Township 39, Range 7, West of the 5th Meridian. This fresh water plant draws water from the North Saskatchewan River.

Notes

Any submission filed shall contain information detailing: 

(i)                 the desired disposition of the applications;

(ii)               the facts sustaining the position of the submitter;

(iii)              the reason why the submitter believes the Board should decide in the manner advocated; and

(iv)             how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter. 

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the Board, but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
