Take notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) may continue to process this application without further notice if no submissions for or against are received with respect to Application No. 1316020 on or before January 16, 2004.
Nature of the Application
Canadian Natural Resources Limited has applied under the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations and the Oil and Gas Conservation Act to establish two holdings and special well spacing for the production of gas from the Medicine Hat Formation in the following areas:
IN TOWNSHIP 5, RANGE 9, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN:
Sections 32 to 36 inclusive (holding No. 1)
IN TOWNSHIP 6, RANGE 9, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN:
Sections 1 to7 inclusive, 9 to 23 inclusive, 27, 28, 29, and 33 (holding No. 1)
IN TOWNSHIP 6, RANGE 9, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN
Section 8 (holding No. 2)
IN TOWNSHIP 6, RANGE 10, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN:
Sections 11 to 15 inclusive, 17 to 25 inclusive, and 27 to 36 inclusive (holding No. 1)
The applicant proposes that within the holdings:
a producing well shall be at least 500 metres from each other well producing from the same pool,
a producing well shall be at least 300 metres from the South and West boundaries of the holding,
only 2 wells may be produced per section from the same pool
In addition, the applicant proposes to establish drilling spacing units of one half section, in size having an east half, west half orientation with target areas consisting of Legal Subdivisions 6 and 10, for the production of gas from the Medicine Hat Formation:

Notes
The application applies to the subsurface placement of wellbores where they enter the productive part of the pool. It does not include the approval of, or imply approval of well site locations or access. These are matters to be negotiated between the applicant and the surface rights owner.
