APPLICATION NO. 1468581
CREW ENERGY INC.
MEDICINE RIVER FIELD
Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB/Board) has received Application
No.1468581. This notice is to advise of the filing of this application. Note that if no submissions are received on or before Friday, September 8, 2006, relating to the application, the EUB may continue to process this application without further notice.
Nature of the Application
Crew Energy Inc. has applied pursuant to Section 80 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act (the Act) for an order prescribing that all tracts within the drilling spacing unit comprising Section 36 of Township 38, Range 5, West of the 5th Meridian, be operated as a unit for the production of gas from the Lower Mannville Formation, through a well to be drilled in Legal Subdivision 10 of the section.
The applicant is requesting, among other things, that costs and revenues under the pooling order be allocated on a tract area basis, and that it be named the operator of the subject well. The applicant has also requested that the maximum penalty allowed under the Act be applied to a tract's share of the actual costs of drilling and completing the well if the tract owner does not pay its share of those costs within 30 days of the later of the pooling order being issued, the tract owner being given written notice of its share of costs, and the well in question being placed on production.
