Take Notice that examiners have been appointed by the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) to conduct a written hearing of Application No. 1507039 for the enlargement of the area of Turner Valley Unit No. 5 (the Unit).  

Nature of the Application
Talisman Energy Inc. (Talisman) has applied pursuant to the Turner Valley Unit Operations Act, (the Act) to add Legal Subdivisions 4 and 5 of Section 6, Township 19, Range 2, West of the 5th Meridian; Legal Subdivisions 4, 5, and 12 of Section 24, Township 19, Range 3, West of the 5th Meridian; Legal Subdivisions 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of Section 10, Township 20, Range 3, West of the 5th Meridian; and Legal Subdivisions 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Section 15, Township 20, Range 3, West of the 5th Meridian to the area of the Unit.

To File a Submission
The written hearing will proceed according to the following schedule:

September 13, 2007: Final date for submissions to be filed with the EUB by any persons having concerns respecting the application.

September 20, 2007: Final date for any response by Talisman to the submissions filed by
concerned parties.

September 27, 2007: Final date for argument from all parties.

October 4, 2007: Final date for reply to argument from Talisman.

Any person intending to make a submission with respect to this written hearing of Application No. 1507039 shall file on or before 4:00 p.m. on the dates noted above. Send one copy of your submission to the applicant at the name and address above and ten copies to:

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain the following:

(a) a concise statement indicating

(i) the manner in which the intervener's rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,

(ii) the nature and scope of the intervener's intended participation,

(iii) the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,

(iv) the facts the intervener proposes to show in evidence,

(v) the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and

(vi) the intervener's efforts, if any, to resolve issues associated with the proceeding directly with the applicant;

(b) the name, address in Alberta, telephone number, fax number and, if available, e-mail address of the intervener;

(c) if the intervener is represented by a representative, the name, address in Alberta, telephone number, fax number and, if available, e-mail address of the representative;

(d) if the intervener is an unincorporated organization, the nature of the intervener's membership.

In accordance with Section 12 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all documents filed in respect of this proceeding must be placed on the public record unless otherwise ordered by the Board.

If no submissions are received by September 13, 2007, the EUB will process Application No. 1507039 without delay.
