Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) has received Application No. 1515271. This notice is to advise of the filing of this application. Note that if no submissions are received on or before August 29, 2007, relating to the application, the EUB may continue to process this application without further notice.

Nature of the Application
Bearspaw Petroleum Ltd. has applied pursuant to Section 80 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act (the Act) for an order prescribing that all tracts within the drilling spacing unit comprising Section 8 of Township 39, Range 19, West of the 4th Meridian, be operated as a unit for the production of gas from all zones to the base of the Mannville Group, through a well to be drilled in Legal Subdivision 13, and from a maximum of three additional wells to be drilled in the section. Under the order, a maximum of four wells could be produced from any pool from zones from surface to the top of the Mannville Group, and a maximum of two wells could be produced from any pool in the Mannville Group.

The applicant requested, among other things, that costs and revenues under the pooling order be allocated on a tract area basis, and that Bearspaw Petroleum Ltd. be named the operator of the well(s) to be produced. In addition, the applicant requested that the maximum penalty allowed under the Act be applied to the share of the costs of drilling the well(s) to and completing it in the formation(s) named in the order which are attributable to the tract comprising the south half of Section 8 of Township 39, Range 19, West of the 4th Meridian, if the tract owner does not pay the costs within 30 days of the later of the pooling order being issued, the tract owner being notified in writing of its share of actual costs, or the well(s) commencing production.
