EUB APPROVES BONTERRA ENERGY SWEET GAS WELL LICENCE NEAR DRAYTON VALLEY
Calgary, Alberta (January 28, 2003) The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) today issued Decision 2003-008, which approves an application by Bonterra Energy Corp. to drill a sweet gas well located approximately nine kilometres southeast of Drayton Valley.
The EUB notes that Bonterra made several commitments during the course of the hearing particularly with regard to groundwater protection measures and expects that the company will fulfill these commitments.
An EUB hearing was held in Drayton Valley November 6-7, 2002 to consider the application.
The EUB ensures that the discovery, development, and delivery of Alberta's resources take place in a manner that is fair, responsible, and in the public interest.
