EUB LAUNCHES CUSTOMER CONTACT CENTRE

Calgary, Alberta (November 29, 2005) As part of its commitment to improving communications with Albertans, the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) has opened a Customer Contact Centre. The new Contact Centre supports the EUB's Public Safety and Sour Gas Initiative and its focus on providing Albertans with accurate, reputable, and neutral information about oil and gas development.

The new call centre and central email address will improve customer service, streamline access to EUB information and result in a timely response to customer queries. Trained Customer Service Representatives will handle all types of inquiries in a prompt, professional and knowledgeable manner.

Callers directed to the EUB Customer Contact Centre will speak with a Customer Service Representative who will respond directly to questions or, when necessary, refer inquiries to expertise within the EUB.

In an effort to ensure customer satisfaction remains high, the EUB will track call volumes, service levels and response times through measurement and random surveys.
