2007-A: Pipeline Performance in Alberta, 1990-2005

April 2007

This report provides a statistical summary of pipeline performance in Alberta from 1990 through 2005. It provides a summary of the lengths, sizes, materials of construction, products carried, and operating status of Alberta's oil and gas pipeline network. It analyzes the reported causes of pipeline failures and examines that data for performance trends or concerns. Analysis of release volumes provides information on the number, sizes, and products released by pipeline spills and pressure-test failures. Aggregate data on overall failure frequency are provided and compared against previous years.
