NOTICE OF RESCHEDULING OF HEARING
APPLICATIONS NO. 1374597 AND 1386424

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) had scheduled a public hearing of Applications No. 1374597 and 1386424 at the Best Western Hotel and Suites, 10745-117 Avenue, Grande Prairie, Alberta, commencing on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. The Board received a request from interested parties to reschedule the hearing and it agreed to grant the request.
Therefore, Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing of Applications No. 1374597 and 1386424 at the Best Western Hotel and Suites, 10745-117 Ave, Grande Prairie, Alberta, commencing on Monday, May 30, 2005 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of the Applications
Application 1374597
Standard Energy Inc. (Standard) submitted an application in accordance with Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for approval to construct and operate two pipelines. The purpose of the first pipeline would be for transporting natural gas from Legal Subdivision (LSD) 9, Section 25, Township 71, Range 5, West of the 6th Meridian, to a pipeline tie in point at LSD 1, Section 36, Township 71, Range 5, West of the 6th Meridian. The purpose of the second pipeline would be to transport fuel gas from LSD 1, Section 36, Township 71, Range 5, West of the 6th Meridian, to LSD 9, Section 25, Township 71, Range 5, West of the 6th Meridian. The two pipelines are 800 m in length and will run parallel to each other in the same trench. The first pipeline has an outside diameter of 114.3 mm and will carry natural gas with an H2S content of 15.00 mol/kmol (1.5%), with a corresponding calculated Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) of 195 m. The second pipeline has an outside diameter of 60.3 mm and will carry fuel gas with an H2S content of 0.00 mol/kmol (0.00%). A site specific Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is not required for either pipeline. Both proposed pipelines would be operated as Level 1 pipelines and would be located approximately 7 km east of Grande Prairie.
Application 1386424
Standard has applied pursuant to Section 7.001 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations requesting approval to construct and operate a single well gas battery at LSD 9, Section 25, Township 71, Range 5, West of the 6th Meridian in the Grande Prairie field. The wellsite facility would consist of a line heater skid, separator skid, knock-out tank and a flare stack. The facility would be licenced for a maximum H2S content of 15.00 mol/kmol (1.5%), with a corresponding calculated EPZ of 525 m. The facility requires a site specific emergency response plan. The purpose of the facility would be to separate and measure production from an existing gas well at the same location. The proposed battery would be located approximately 7 km east of Grande Prairie.

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain the following:
(a) a concise statement indicating
(i) the manner in which the intervener's rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,
(ii) the nature and scope of the intervener's intended participation,
(iii) the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,
(iv) the facts the intervener proposes to show in evidence,
(v) the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and
(vi) the intervener's efforts, if any, to resolve issues associated with the proceeding directly with the applicant;

If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.
In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation. In accordance with Section 12 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all documents filed in respect of this proceeding must be placed on the public record unless otherwise ordered by the Board.
Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
