Nature of the Application
Paul and Mary Gron (the Interveners) made a request under Section 40 of the Energy Resources Conservation Act for the Board to review licence number 0307423. The Board has granted the Interveners' request for review and has directed that a hearing be scheduled to determine whether the Board should confirm, vary or rescind its decision to grant well licence 0307423.

The licence would permit Encana to drill a well with 0.00 mol/kmol H2S, from a surface location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 11 of Section 26, Township 23, Range 25, West of the 4th Meridian. The purpose of the well would be to obtain gas production from the Belly River Group and coalbed methane from the Belly River and Edmonton Group formations.
