CANADIAN NATURAL RESOURCES LIMITED

Take notice that examiners appointed by the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing of Applications No. 1400981 and 1431069 at the Bonnyville Neighborhood Inn, 5011-66th Street, Bonnyville, Alberta, commencing on January 18, 2006, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of Application No. 1400981
Canadian Natural Resources Limited has submitted an application in accordance with Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for approval to construct and operate a pipeline for the purpose of transporting natural gas from Legal Subdivision (LSD) 2, Section 25, Township 61, Range 5, West of the 4th Meridian to LSD 13-20-61-4 W4M. The proposed pipeline would be approximately 2.86 kilometres (km) in length with a maximum outside diameter of 88.9 millimeters and would transport natural gas with a maximum H2S concentration of 0.0 moles per kilomole (0.0 per cent). The proposed pipeline would be operated as a Level 1 pipeline.
Nature of Application No. 1431069
Canadian Natural Resources Limited has submitted an application in accordance with Section 7.001 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations requesting approval to construct and operate a multi-well gas battery in LSD 2-25-61-5 W4M in the Fort Kent Field. The wellsite facility would consist of wet metering, a separator, and a tank. The purpose of the facility would be to separate and measure production from an existing gas well located at LSD 2-25-61-5 W4M.
The proposed pipeline and battery would be located approximately 10 km northeast of Bonnyville.

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain the following:
(a) a concise statement indicating
(i) the manner in which the intervener's rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,
(ii) the nature and scope of the intervener's intended participation,
(iii) the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,
(iv) the facts the intervener proposes to show in evidence,
(v) the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
