NOTICE OF HEARING
APPLICATION NO. 1413499
MEDICINE RIVER FIELD
INTERNATIONAL SOVEREIGN ENERGY CORP.

Take Notice that examiners appointed by the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB/Board) will hold a public hearing of Application No. 1413499 at the offices of the EUB, 640 5 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta, commencing on Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Application

International Sovereign Energy Corp. applied pursuant to the Oil and Gas Conservation Act (the Act) for an order prescribing that all tracts within the drilling spacing unit constituting Section 32 of Township 38, Range 3, West of the 5th Meridian, be operated as a unit for the production of gas from the Leduc Formation by re-entering the well with the unique identifier of 00/14-32-038-03W5/0 and drilling to a bottomhole location in Legal Subdivision 16 of the section.

The applicant requested, among other things, that 100 per cent of the costs and revenues under the pooling order be allocated to its tract and that it be named the operator of the well to be produced. In addition, the applicant requested that the maximum penalty allowed under the Act be applied to a tract's share of the costs of re-entering the subject well, drilling to the target location, and completing it in the formation(s) named in the order if the tract owner does not pay its share of costs within 30 days of the later of the pooling order being issued, the tract owner being notified in writing of its share of actual costs, or the well commencing production.
