Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) may continue to process Application No. 1416005 without further notice if no valid objections are received by October 21, 2005, before 2:30 p.m.
Nature of the Application
MEG Energy Corporation (MEG Energy) pursuant to sections 14, 15, and 18 of the Hydro and Electric Energy Act applied to the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) on August 31, 2005 for approval to construct, operate, and connect to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES) a substation located within MEG's energy lease boundary in LSD 14 9-77-5 W4M in order to supply energy to its Christina Lake Regional pilot project.
MEG Energy is proposing to:
a) construct a new 240/25 kV substation designated as Conklin substation 762S,
b) operate and maintain Conklin 762S,
c) connect Conklin 762S to the AIES,
and more particularly described in the subject application and shown on the attached map.

To File a Submission
Any person intending to make a submission with respect to the Application shall file the submission prior to 2:30 p.m., October 21, 2005. Send one copy of your submission to the applicant at the name and address above, and the electronic file of the submission to eub.utl@gov.ab.ca . The EUB would appreciate receiving submissions in electronic format (computer files) if possible, but recognizes that some parties may not have the ability to do so, in which case they should send one copy of the submission to Mr. Rafael Guzmn at the address above.
Notes
Any submissions filed shall contain information detailing:
(i) the desired disposition of the application;
(ii) the facts substantiating the position of the submitter;
the reasons why the submitter believes the EUB should decide in the manner advocated; and
(iv) how the proposed project, if approved, may directly and adversely affect the submitter.
