NOTICE OF RESCHEDULING OF HEARING

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) had scheduled a public hearing of Application No. 1450550 at the Best Western Denham Inn & Suites, 5207 – 50 Avenue, Leduc, Alberta, commencing on Thursday March 1, 2007, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. The Board received requests from interested parties to reschedule the hearing and it agreed to grant the request.
Therefore, Take Notice that the EUB will hold a public hearing of Application No. 1450550 at the Best Western Denham Inn & Suites, 5207 – 50 Avenue, Leduc, Alberta, commencing on Thursday May 10, 2007, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of the Application
Rockyview Energy Inc. (Rockyview) has applied pursuant to Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations for a licence to drill a Level-1 vertical sour well from a surface location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 5 of Section 10, Township 49, Range 24, West of the 4th Meridian. The maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) concentration would be 40 moles per kilomole (4 per cent) and the cumulative drilling H2S release rate would be 0.1835 cubic metres per second (m3/s). During completion/servicing and suspended/producing of the proposed well, the release rates would be 0.1835 m3/s. The corresponding emergency planning zones would be 0.75 kilometres for the drilling, completion/servicing and suspended/producing release rates. The purpose of the well would be to obtain gas production from the Belly River Group. The proposed well would be located approximately 10 km southeast of Leduc.

Any person intending to make a submission with respect to the hearing of Application No. 1450550 shall file on or before 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2007. Send one copy of your submission to the applicant and ten copies to the EUB to the attention of the application coordinator at the names and addresses listed above.

Any submission filed shall contain the following:

(i) the manner in which the intervener’s rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,
(ii) the nature and scope of the intervener’s intended participation,
(iii) the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,

(v) the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and
(vi) the intervener’s efforts, if any, to resolve issues associated with the proceeding directly with the applicant;

If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the application without further notice or without a hearing.
Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
In accordance with Section 12 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all documents filed in respect of this proceeding must be placed on the public record unless otherwise ordered by the Board.
In accordance with Section 23.1 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, a person who intends to raise a question of constitutional law before the Board must give notice in accordance with Section 12 of the Administrative Procedures and Jurisdiction Act and its regulation.
In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
