NOTICE OF HEARING
APPLICATIONS NO. 1478689 AND 1478691
ENCANA OIL & GAS CO. LTD.
DIMSDALE FIELD

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB/Board) will hold a public hearing of Applications No. 1478689 and 1478691 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Grande Prairie, 9816 – 107 Street, Grande Prairie, Alberta, commencing on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.

Nature of the Applications
EnCana Oil & Gas Co. Ltd. (EnCana) submitted an application in accordance with Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for approval to construct and operate four pipelines. Two pipelines would be to transport fuel gas from pipeline tie-in points at Legal Subdivision (LSD) 12 of Section 14, Township 71, Range 7, West of the 6th Meridian and LSD 8-26-71-7W6M to meter stations at LSD 9-26-71-7W6M and LSD 7-35-71-7W6M. These pipelines would be approximately 5.76 kilometres (km) and 1.89 km in length, respectively, and would have outside diameters of 60.3 millimetres (mm).

The remaining two pipelines would be to transport natural gas from wells located at LSD 9-26-71-7W6M and LSD 7-35-71-7W6M to pipeline tie-in points at LSD 12-14-71-7W6M and LSD 8-26-71-7W6M. These pipelines would be approximately 5.76 km and 1.89 km in length, respectively. Both of these pipelines would have outside diameters of 114.3 mm and would transport natural gas with a maximum hydrogen sulphide concentration of 50.00 moles per kilomole (5 per cent). These two pipelines would be operated as Level-1 pipelines and would have associated emergency planning zones of 0.9 km and 0.36 km, respectively.

The four proposed pipelines would be located approximately 5 km west of Grande Prairie.

To File a Submission
Any person intending to make a submission with respect to the hearing of Applications No. 1478689 and 1478691 shall file on or before 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Send one copy of your submission to the applicant and ten copies to the EUB to the attention of the application coordinator at the names and addresses listed above.

Notes
Any submission filed shall contain the following:

(a) a concise statement indicating
  
       (i) the manner in which the intervener’s rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,

       (ii) the nature and scope of the intervener’s intended participation,

       (iii) the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,

       (iv) the facts the intervener proposes to show in evidence,

       (v) the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and

       (vi) the intervener’s efforts, if any, to resolve issues associated with the proceeding directly with the applicant;

(b) the name, address in Alberta, telephone number, fax number and, if available, e-mail address of the intervener;

(c) if the intervener is represented by a representative, the name, address in Alberta, telephone number, fax number and, if available, e-mail address of the representative; and

(d) if the intervener is an unincorporated organization, the nature of the intervener’s membership.

If you have an interest in this matter, you are required to make a submission with respect to these applications even if you have previously filed a submission with the Board or with EnCana Oil & Gas Co. Ltd. on these applications.

If there are no submissions received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the applications without further notice or without a hearing.

Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.

In accordance with Section 12 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all documents filed in respect of this proceeding must be placed on the public record unless otherwise ordered by the Board.

In accordance with Section 23.1 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, a person who intends to raise a question of constitutional law before the Board must give notice in accordance with Section 12 of the Administrative Procedures and Jurisdiction Act and its regulation.

In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
