NOTICE OF RESCHEDULING OF HEARING
APPLICATIONS NO. 1478721, 1494900 & 1494911

Take Notice that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) had originally scheduled a public hearing of Application No. 1478721 to start on January 10, 2007. However, the hearing was adjourned prior to the hearing date to allow for the submission of all related applications. Two related applications have now been submitted and reviewed by the EUB.
Therefore, Take Notice that the EUB will hold a public hearing of Applications No. 1478721, 1494900 and 1494911 at the Best Western Wayside Inn, 4103Â 56 Street, Wetaskiwin, Alberta, commencing on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the hour of 9:00am. All interveners to this proceeding must be present at the commencement of the hearing to register their appearance.
Nature of the Applications
Artemis Exploration Inc. (Artemis) submitted Application No. 1478721 in accordance with Section 2.020 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations (OGCR) for a licence to drill a well from a surface location in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 15, Section 10, Township 48, Range 23, West of the 4th Meridian to a projected bottom hole in the same location. The maximum hydrogen sulphide (H2S) concentration would be approximately 1.2 moles per kilomole (0.12 per cent) and the cumulative drilling H2S release rate would be 0.0084 cubic metres per second with a corresponding emergency planning zone of 120 metres (m). The purpose of the well would be to obtain gas production from the Lower Mannville formation.
Artemis also submitted Application No. 1494900 in accordance with Part 4 of the Pipeline Act for approval to construct and operate a pipeline for the purpose of transporting natural gas from the proposed well at LSD 15-10-48-23W4M to an existing pipeline tie-in point at LSD 7-10-48-23W4M. The proposed pipeline would be approximately 720 m in length with a maximum outside diameter of 88.9 millimetres and would transport natural gas with a maximum H2S concentration of 4.00 moles per kilomole (0.4 per cent).
Artemis submitted Application No. 1494911 in accordance with Section 7.001 of the OGCR requesting approval to construct and operate a single well gas battery in LSD 15-10-48-23W4M at the proposed well site. The inlet gas would have a maximum H2S concentration of 4.00 moles per kilomole (0.4 per cent). The well site facility would consist of a separator, methanol tank, and water storage tank. The purpose of the facility would be to separate and measure production from the proposed well.Â
The proposed project would be located approximately 13 kilometres north and east of the Town of Millet.

The schedule for filing a submission is as follows:

2. Filing of reply submissions by Artemis September 28, 2007
Any person intending to make a submission with respect to the hearing of Applications No. 1478721, 1494900, and 1494911 shall file on or before 4:00 p.m. on the above dates. Send one copy of your submission to the applicant at the name and address above and ten copies to the EUB at the name and address above.
Notes
Any submission filed shall contain the following:
(a)Â a concise statement indicating

(i)Â the manner in which the intervener's rights may be directly and adversely affected by a decision of the Board on the proceeding,
(ii)Â the nature and scope of the intervener's intended participation,
(iii)Â the disposition of the proceeding that the intervener advocates, if any,
(iv)Â the facts the intervener proposes to show in evidence,
(v)Â the reasons why the intervener believes the Board should decide in the manner that the intervener advocates, and

If there are no submissions are received, this hearing may be cancelled and the EUB will continue to process the applications without further notice or without a hearing.
Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land usage are not dealt with by the EUB but may be referred to the Alberta Surface Rights Board.
In accordance with Section 12 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, all documents filed in respect of this proceeding must be placed on the public record unless otherwise ordered by the Board.
In accordance with Section 23.1 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, a person who intends to raise a question of constitutional law before the Board must give notice in accordance with Section 12 of the Administrative Procedures and Jurisdiction Act and its regulation.
In accordance with Section 38 of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board Rules of Practice, witnesses must give evidence under oath or affirmation.
