EUB ISSUES NEW REGULATORY NEWSLETTER, ACROSS THE BOARD

Calgary, Alberta (January 24, 2000) The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) today released the first edition of its new regulatory newsletter, Across the Board. The newsletter will be published monthly, free of charge.

"The EUB does a lot of work and we want to let people know about it," says EUB Chairman Neil McCrank. "The objective of the newsletter is to increase stakeholder understanding of the EUB by communicating regularly about who we are and what we are doing."

Regular features to appear in each issue include:

• Feature stories on EUB initiatives, or our take on current industry issues
• List of upcoming hearings
• Brief summary of recent decisions (from the past month)
• List of pending decisions
• Recent publications (ILs, IDs, GBs, reports, guides, etc., from the past month)
• Summary of application statistics for the month before last
• High level enforcement statistics
