EUB TO HOLD HEARING ON RED DEER GAS WELL LICENSES MAY 18, 2006

Calgary, Alberta (April 13, 2006) The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) will hold a public hearing to determine whether the Board should confirm, vary or rescind its decision to grant well licence 0346274 to Arkoma, Inc. and well licence 0346273 and pipeline licence 46813 to Advantage Oil & Gas Ltd.

The matters to be discussed at the hearing are letters from the City of Red Deer asking the Board to conduct a review hearing relating to the licenses. On December 19, 2005, the EUB dismissed objections from the City of Red Deer to the licenses in question on the grounds that the City had not established the potential to be directly and adversely affected in relation to the applications. On March 27, 2006, the EUB decided to allow the City of Red Deer ’s request and directed that the licenses in question be the subject of a hearing.
