FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CANSEARCH RESOURCES SWEET GAS BLOWOUT OVER
Calgary, Alberta (August 2, 2006) A Cansearch Resources Ltd. blowout that occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. about 60 kilometres east of Red Deer has been secured. A new wellhead has been installed and the incident is now over. The well is contract operated by Devon Canada Corporation.
There was no fire, no evacuations, no injuries and public safety was never at risk.
The cause of the incident will be investigated. All appropriate authorities were notified.
