EUB INVESTIGATING ODOUR COMPLAINTS NEAR DRAYTON VALLEY
Drayton Valley, (January 16, 2007) The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) is coordinating efforts to determine the source of trace odours of hydrogen sulfide that began during the evening of Sunday, January 14 southwest of Drayton Valley.
There is no risk to public safety. No evacuations have been necessary, no injuries have been reported, and all appropriate authorities have been notified. The EUB will continue to update local residents through individual contact and regular updates to local media.
As is the normal practice, a thorough investigation will be conducted at the conclusion of the incident.
The EUB ensures that the discovery, development, and delivery of Alberta’s energy resources and utility services take place in a manner that is fair, responsible, and in the public interest.
