EUB INVESTIGATING DAYLIGHT ENERGY TRUST LTD. SOUR GAS RELEASE NEAR VALLEYVIEW
Calgary, Alberta (December 13, 2007) The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) is investigating a sour gas release at a pipeline operated by Daylight Energy Trust Ltd. about 10 kilometres south of Valleyview. This incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m.
One family in the area left their home as a precaution.
At approximately 3:00 am the pipeline and one well were shut in. The pipeline and well will continue to be shut in while the EUB investigates the incident.
The EUB ensures that the discovery, development, and delivery of Alberta's resources and utilities services take place in a manner that is fair, responsible, and in the public interest.
