Take Notice that the EUB may continue to process this application without further notice if bona fide objections are not received on or before June 28, 2002. 

Nature of Application

Koch Petroleum Canada Ltd. (Koch) applied pursuant to section 13 of the Oil Sands Conservation Act for approval to reduce the spacing from 16 hectares to 4 hectares in the following areas located within Approval No. 7306:

IN TOWNSHIP 61, RANGE 3, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN:
The S and NE of Section 19, All of Sections 20, 29, 30, 31 and 32

IN TOWNSHIP 61, RANGE 4, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN:
All of Section 25

IN TOWNSHIP 62, RANGE 3, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN:
The S and NE of Section 6, and all of Section 7

IN TOWNSHIP 62, RANGE 4, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN:
The SW of Section 2, all of Section 3, the S of Section 10, all of Section 11, the N and the SE of Section 12. 

Approval No. 7306 is a primary scheme for the recovery of crude bitumen from the Mannville Formation in the Cold Lake Oil Sands Area.  The drilling spacing units within the approval area will be reduced from 16 hectares to 4 hectares with wells to be drilled subject to a minimum interwell distance of 100 metres and a project boundary buffer of 50 metres. Koch is proposing to truck the fluid associated with this project from the hours of 7 P.M. to 7 A.M. from the project area to the Bearstrap Processing Facility located at LSD 9, Section 15, Township 60, Range 4, West of the 4th Meridian.
