This bulletin announces the revised edition of the Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) Directive 020: Well Abandonment. This edition of Directive 020 replaces all previous editions of Directive 020: Well Abandonment Guide.
The requirements in this revised edition of Directive 020 are effective July 1, 2010.
The requirements set out in Directive 072: Well Abandonment Notification Requirements have been modified and incorporated into the new edition of Directive 020. Therefore, Directive 072 will be rescinded on July 1, 2010.
